Robert J. Lane, Principal Bob is a Principal and design director at Lane Design Group, Inc. and responsible for design and project management of environmental graphics programs in the Saint Paul office. His design experience includes corporate identity, corporate communications, product promotion, package design, exhibit design and environmental graphics. His work involves design and project management with clients that range from corporate executives to municipal department heads to small business owners and he often directs the graphic design component for large interdisciplinary design projects. Bob's experience includes environmental graphics, marketing design, corporate communications, and exhibit design with a broad range of Fortune 500 companies and has directed design programs for the municipalities of Chicago, Illinois, Kansas City Missouri, and Dade County, Florida. Following his graduation from the Kansas City Art Institute he joined InterDesign in Minneapolis as a graphic designer and went on to head the graphics department of CRS, an architectural firm in Houston, Texas. He later became a founding partner of Keller, Lane & Waln in Chicago where he worked on numerous print and environmental graphics programs, including the comprehensive graphics standards for Chicago-O'Hare International Airport. Mr. Lane was a founding member and former board member of the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers. He has received awards for design excellence from American Corporate Identity and Progressive Architecture and contributed to numerous award-winning architectural projects. |
