Bill's background includes a wide range of communication disciplines including, corporate communications design, product promotion, package design, interactive design and environmental graphics systems design.

A 1972 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a BFA in Graphic and Communication Design, Bill's first job was as a designer for Design Planning Group. While at DPG he worked on signage for Water Tower Place (a vertical retail mall) in Chicago Illinois, interior and lobby signage for the Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois and assisted in the development of a new corporate identity for J. C. Penney.

In 1974 Bill joined Keller, Lane and Waln, where he worked on the graphics programs for several transit projects including Chicago's Central Area Transit Program and the MetroRail program in Dade County, Florida. He was responsible for several product marketing graphics programs including Shaw Walker, Herman Miller, American Hospital Supply and Baxter Travenol. Most recently Bill assisted Lane Design Group (formerly Keller Lane & Waln) in the schematic design phase for the Northstar Corridor commuter rail project in Minneapolis and continues to provide valuable design and management experience to the firm on larger scope environmental graphics projects. Bill is responsible for corporate communications design, web design and technical web site authoring and production supervision.
